Sleeping Dog

It's a little low-quality because I took it with a small camera.

The piece is 18x24 inches. This is one of my projects that I had to do for my college art class. I had a lot of fun with Sumi ink painting.

This is one of my two dogs and her name is Dolly (she's a long-haired chiuaua). At first I did a lot of sketching for warm-ups. Dolly is really good with her posture and I wish I had made a larger version of one of my early sketches. I nearly spent a whole day getting the hang of my brush strokes; painting little pictures of my pets (not just her).

So what you all see here is the end of a long day, my model sleeps as I paint my last picture.
